The church of San Pedro in Sinués is one of few examples of Gothic architecture in the Jacetania area. It is Romanesque in origin although only the tympanum of the main doorway (a sculpted monogram of Christ set in the atrium of the new church) survives from that period.
The new temple was built of stone in the 15th century and has a single nave divided into two sections and another for the three-sided apse. The south side has a number of openings for ilumination, typical of the Gothic period, and the apse has a circular window on one of its walls, decorated with curvilinear tracery. The doorway shows complicated curvilinear forms and vestiges of polychrome painting. It has a damaged image of Our Lady with Jesus flanked by two angels with bows below a gable.
The interior has a number of elements that are worth pointing out. Perhaps the most notable of these are the sculpted keystones and corbels which support the star-ribbed vaulted ceiling.
On the Gospel (left) side there are two communicated chapels. The westernmost one has a Renaissance doorway with a slightly pointed arch and contains a small and simple altarpiece in relief which depicts forms typical of the Early Renaissance period. There is another small chapel next to the chancel on the Epistolary (right) side which contains a small Romanist altarpiece.
The wooden choir gallery at the western end of the church was built in the 16th century. Its structure rests on a lintel and it has a classically-inspired entablature topped by a delicately carved ballustrade and parapet. The handrail of the staircase that leads to it has a number of decorative elements organized into different panels of a clear Renaissance style. The main altarpiece is Barroque and is presided by the figure of San Pedro (St Peter).
